I am an Alon Fellow (2008-2011) and Associate Professor of English at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. My research interests include Irish modernism (in particular James Joyce, Samuel Beckett and Flann O'Brien), posthumanism, cyborg theory, and the dialogue between literature and film. My work has appeared in numerous journals including Journal of Modern LiteratureModern Fiction StudiesPoetics TodayModernism/modernityJoyce Studies AnnualPartial AnswersHumanities, and Narrative. I have also contributed chapters to collaborative volumes on Deleuze, Beckett, and Posthumanism. I am the author of The Measureless Time of Joyce, Deleuze and Derrida (2007), and of Fantasies of Self-Mourning: Modernism, the Posthuman and the Finite (2019), and co-editor of three volumes on Flann O'Brien: Contesting Legacies (with Paul Fagan and Werner Huber), Problems with Authority (with Paul Fagan and John McCourt), and Gallows Humour (with Paul Fagan)My current project is a study of emotions in the work of James Joyce.
